How long should be a generated random string username? 12 characters? 16?
I'm afraid that if I use something like 13 or 15 someone might be able to track me.
if it's randomly generated then what are you afraid of people tracking?

Because if my username is 13 character long on every website I registered, someone might connect the dots... whereas if it's 12 character long, it's harder to make a connection because - presumably - more people use 12 character long usernames.
Since some websites don't allow 16 character long usernames, the best choice would be 12, right?

this is insane. are you retarded?
the same random string across sites will sufficiently connect the dots for anyone curious enough to check. if you're worried about this, generate random, variable length strings for each site.
how can you be this concerned about privacy and also be such a naive idiot?

Where did I say I'm not using a different username for each site?
>>55795652
then what's your concern? that someone will realize 2 totally different 12-character strings belong to the same person?
i'd be happy to find some interpretation of your question that isn't idiotic. just give more details.
>>55795527
use 12, this thread is fucking retarded.

>meone will realize 2 totally different 12-character strings belong to the same person
Yes, that is my concern. But more specifically if the usernames are 13 character long or 15 or some other odd number.

you're not helping yourself in any way with this post.
