No, it's much worse. Not sure about plugins, depends on what you use I had no problems getting what I needed in VSCode.

it takes 30 seconds to start on my laptop with ssd... the whole os doesn't take that long. whoever thought it was a great idea to make a text editor using web technologies should be shot. i just use sublime now
