/g/ I'm interested in starting to teach myself to code.
I know there are a lot of programming languages out there, but which one is recommended for a beginner?
First of all, don't waste time deciding what programming language you choose first. The concepts will carry over to other languages if you want to switch later. I'd recommend Python, Lua, or C. Pick one and just get started ASAP.

Also, that anime character is editing audio or viewing the stock market.

But it probably does, if you're a fat ugly slob then the only way to get laid is thanks to money...

Also, do you have any recommendations to sites/tutorials for learning python?

But what about someone that has never programmed before ? those docs are more for people that know how to code already.

Yeah, i'm completely new to programming.

I think what anon meant is just start typing shit, which is kinda stupid. Just whatever you do make sure you are learning python 3.X not 2.X, 2.X is okay but 2 and 3 are basically differant languages just 3 is better.

I wish i could help but i was taught my first language in person, i'm not sure where i would start if i knew nothing. Do you know the basic theory of programing? Like Scratch tier stuff?

One of the best beginners-friendly books about low level programming I've ever read.

Nope. Forth is a very simple language (much simpler than C), so it gives you complete understanding about all the stuff under the hood. You can even read memory dumps of your working program and parse them in mind. Also, you won't have any problems with pointer arithmetic, if someday you'll decide to learn C.
