Quad Core doesn't immediately mean good. You get those 6 years ago and in £60 tablets.

You need a half way decent mobo if you want to upgrade later. Buying crap to begin with is pretty inefficient though, unless you absolutely need it.

You should be able to get at least one Xeon E5 for that, though you would need to put that together yourself.

fx-4xxx cpu's are actually dual cores, so keep that in mind. they get away with calling it a quad core without lawsuit because of the 4 integer units and 4 fp schedulers meme that doesn't actually provide quad core performance.
