How would /g/ completely malwareproof a a family member's computer?
My brother just texted me at 12:30 in the morning saying his accounts were hacked. Knowing him, he probably clicked on some shady link and installed some trojan or something. I'm really close to just getting all my family on Linux and strapping their browsers with NoScript and ABP. I put Linux Mint on my aunt's computer already and she hasn't had any problems with it, but of course, she was a complete noob and just used it for email and Facebook, so it wasn't hard.

Take out the motherboard
Don't use noscript, it breaks most websites and dummies will just get frustrated and install shadybrowser.exe or whatever to get around it. They'll stop using your setup and go for something much worse, bypassing all of your safety measures.
But seriously- linux and uBlock
Install GNU/Linux and an adblocker.
Why do they use computer?
Playing media definitely isn't a problem for GNU/Linux. Same goes for Office stuff, audio editing, browsing the web, programming...
Antivirus of choice + adblock and exe blocker should do the trick

>Use these addons with Firefox
-Better Privacy
-Decentraleyes
-https everywhere
-No Script (make sure to stop it from blocking scripts, just keep the protections)
-Self-Destructing Cookies
-Ublock Origin
>Antivirus
-Malwarebyes is still the best I think, although Spybot and Comodo have picked up their game
You can go the extra mile and replace his OS with Ubuntu.
Install TempleOS
