what's the best method of mirroring games to my TV besides a long HDMI cable?
What is the best wireless solution
When I connect my HDMI from my computer to my TV, the TV says that it can't support that device. What the actual fuck? How do I fix it? Do I really have to emulate a BD player on my computer for this to work?

I have never had that problem. Can you connect two displays at once so you can fuck with the resolution?

You can add emulators as non-steam game to your steam library and then stream without problem.

long hdmi cable is the best. you will regret any money you spend on wireless connectivity for your television.

I use a Steam Link, but it's hard lined. Supports AC but I haven't tried it myself. You can use its native Big Picture Mode or you can close big picture and it'll drop you right onto your desktop.
Wireless == lag
Just buy a long cable. Would you use wifi if you could just use an ethernet cable? If the answer is yes, get off this board.

It's overwhelmingly summer
Just use a long cable
So long as it's not over 15m you're good

Change your resolution or refresh rate on the computer a few times.
Many yankee TVs don't support anything but 60Hz video (like 50Hz) for some inane reason, and many cheaper or older TVs only support the standard TV resolutions like 720p, 1080i.
I'd try 720p60 as a convenient pretty-much-guaranteed resolution/rate combo.
Also potentially check how it is sending the video (like bit depth, subsampling, etc if that doesn't work).

the best is WHDI
