Hey /g/ so I wanna build a good gaming desktop, but I also wanna buy a good laptop for work. Unfortunately, I don't have money for both.
Should I buy pic related? A decent laptop with a dock for an external GPU like a 980ti so I can do gaming when I'm home.
Is it a good idea? Is an external GPU for laptop gaming a viable option or just a meme?

Playing games is stupid if you're not going to run them on max settings with all the mods. Don't buy a gaming laptop/gaming setup for a laptop, they can't compete. Only desktops are worth it.
