Is there any method of rooting a Samsung Galaxy S5 G900A other than towelroot?

My GS5 runs off of Android 5.1.1 and I got it from AT&T. Should I give up on rooting it or is there a method that's obtainable?

I don't need to install a completely new Linux distro, I use Debian and I am happy with it, don't know what that has to do with rooting my GS5 :(
