I recommend staying on /v/ and reading our sticky before posting

CPU is more than powerful enough, and the 1060 is plenty powerful for VR
just some advice though, /g/ is a slow board, you don't need to bump your post more than once maybe every hour or so, otherwise people will get annoyed and not answer your questions

1 -your CPU is fine


2- The GTX 770 is a great card, but if you are struggling to run certain games at high framerates then go for an upgrade

3- that being said, consider the GTX 1070, is very similar to the gtx 1060 in price/performance, plus it can be SLI so you can add a second one in the future


5- don't bother with VR, it won't have good things apart from tech demos and VR mods of games not designed for VR

6- if you don't have an SSD already, get one before anything else, it's one of the most noticeable performance bumps when compared to HDDs

The only difference is that the games load faster, there's no performance increase, are you really that dumb?
