What do you mean? I have found that programming javascript and ruby are much easier when you use virtual desktop and free floating windows.
No, the resolution of current VR displays aren't high enough for fulltime virtual desktop usage, maybe with 4k displays the text legibility will be better, but as it stands right now, it just isn't there yet.
