How would you save yahoo?

>Fire EVERYONE who isn't pulling their weight. Start at the top and finish at the bottom
>Scrap practically all services, archive yahoo answers
>Reduce infrastructure. Scrap anything we don't 100% need.
>Turn infrastructure over the globe into the cheapest VPN available. All logless
>Buy a new domain every day and use it provide an awesome temporary email service
>Ads on tumblr
>Make yahoo search a genuine competitor to duck duck go
>$20 a year to remove tumblr ads and receive more webadmin type tools (a modern geocities but with technical ability)

Then I would provide a Y! pack which would give access to temp email services, tumblr premium and VPN for $15 a year

What about you?

Slap an ad on every tumblr page, at least one every five posts. Make people pay for a subscription to DL more than 100 MB of media per day.
>>
gut the company and sell it to the chinks

or

switch priorities and try to appeal to poo in the loos
>>
Make it as lean and effective as possible. Advertise it as a privacy oriented competitor to google. Like you've said, close anything unnecessary and use the infrastructure for VPN and extra traffic on other sites. Used sponsored content on Tumblr (since everyone and their dog uses adblockers.) Unlimited space on yahoo mail. Archive yahoo answers, or go all in (whatever that would be). Yahoo Pro membership, 14.99/yr gives you ad-free access to everything and unlimited use of the VPN.
