What is the best book for learning Java?

I'm a beginner programmer who understands the basics of Java Syntax.

I learned from watching online courses, but now I want to read a book to reinforce my knowledge and ability to recall code.

there's not a "true beginner's book" for Java, you need to find one that appeals to you since it's not an absolute beginner's PL (you need to have some background, and choose a book depending on that).
Cay Horstmann has books that appeal to various backgrounds.
Sift all the pirate/online books you can find. It takes time.
