Ubuntu is fucking dead.

>good luck switching DEs

It used to be my favorite, but it's just broken "Dude #1 lmao" shitware now. Antergos installing now, I'll weed it down to desktop Arch from there. Fuck you, Canonical you gave me the autism
Okay.

>Ubuntu is fucking dead.
>>good luck switching DEs
when is this not a problem? it's damn near impossible to remove gnome on stock fedora and an incredible amount of work to install anything but kde/xfce and getting it working correctly and I'd imagine the same is true for any distro that ships with a default DE
>>55726385
TDE just works when switching from Xfce anon.
You used to be my favourite
Back then didn’t know you was a fake bitch
You couldn't try to apologise later, just save it
You were hit and miss, motherfucking face it
Yo-lan-di’s an anomaly
Told you, you don’t wanna fuck with me
If you don’t like my shit unfollow me
I still believe in my dreams yo you knowwhatimean?
Caught up in this fucking rat trap (666)
First the front then that backstab
You dwankie right hand bitch got no flavour
Looking at me like a fucking screensaver
Uh, and you big fucking fat left hand bitch
She bit off more than she could fucking manage
Boy you stuck in the middle getting damaged
By sif soggy wack bitch sandwich!

>start up Ubuntu

Holy shit
Its the same fucking shit as "something happened" with windows
>>55726765
Another Ubuntu classic, especially in XFCE: Open the window manager more than twice within a minute

BSD will be beating us at this rate

how new are you?
Just fresh install the DE flavour.
You do keep your /home on another parition dont you?
just get a mac you stupid fucking nerd
>>55726385
as going with the stupid " more user friendly " its getting like windows ...
>>55727655
get some knowledge
>>55726385
Works fine for me.
>>55726385
not to mention ever since 16.04 came out they broke the option to switch back to Upstart leaving you with SystemD cancer whether you like it or not. 15.04 could switch from SystemD but not 16.04
>>55726385
Antergos (which give us Archlinux on PC) definitly adopted.
When I found an issue, rollbacking is very easy.
>>55726790
>not using entirely GNU without Linux and using Hurd
that's why.
>>55727809
This.
>>55727630
>how new are you?
>Just fresh install the DE flavour.
why install a new flavour when you can just get it right the first time (by doing a netinst)
>You do keep your /home on another parition dont you?
don't kid yourself, no amount of separate partitions will save you from the hell of having to reinstall every package you accumulated on a new install nor updating all your config files and odd bits and pieces here and there
>>55726385
>Antergos installing now, I'll weed it down to desktop Arch from there
what the fuck is wrong with you
the whole point of arch is to build it up
>>55726385
Download the server version if you want to change the DE.
Fucktard.

incredible.

Sorry I don't want to pay 50% more to be encased in a proprietary blob ecosystem set up to make money.

This. And what does "desktop Arch" even mean?
I recently installed arch, my friend did the same. He is doing shit I never heard of, I am doing shit he never heard of.
We both use arch and our experience is almost entirely different, although it's built similarly and based on the same thing.
