Well, I paid $20 for a powered 7 port USB 3.0 hub 1.5 months ago. The version with the Aussie power adapter was a price error while the US/EU versions were $40. Even other stores had the product at $40. Didn't expect it to ship but the store ended up shipping it anyway. But the thing is, I thought I had to find my own US plug power adapter but the store put a note in the package saying they shipped the US plug because my address was in North America. If I needed the Aus power adapter still, they'd send it to me free of charge.

I can't believe I didn't get chinked and genuinely feel bad for taking advantage of the store.

Not 100% sure. You can wire them in series, one per battery. As far as a step up converter though, I have no idea. I'm sure looking into raspberry pi batteries might help you out though. I was originally going to do something similar but the step up converter I had was dead so I just bought the tomo instead. No ragrets.

Oh shit I totally meant parallel, not series. But thanks for the info. I didn't do the proper research since I ended up not having the proper parts for the project anyway. I was planning on using them at 500 mA as a slow charger (as in hooked to my desktop and not my phone charger).

Originally I was just going to rebuild a small laptop battery and add in those so I can trickle charge when I'm not using it but it turns out that my battery circuit was fried (and it's a damn Sony laptop so it's super picky about aftermarket chips). I did some research and it ended up being cheaper to buy a NOS OEM extended capacity battery anyway than to cobble together something that probably wouldn't work.

Other than that, I might end up using them in projects down the road but that's unlikely. The only thing that comes to mind now is adding a new cell to my PSP but I don't feel like putting in the money/work for something I don't even use.

What I'm looking for is a carrying case similar to pick related, just cheap plastic, if the price is low enough then I can buy some pluck foam separate. Dimensions are L = 19 1/4" W = 11 1/2" H = 9" however something cheaper doesn't have to be the same size, just relatively close, a little deeper or a little shorter is no big deal.
I've found a few other ones, but I'd like to go cheaper, pic related costs $150, the Pelican 1510 is nearly perfect and at $40 used isn't a bad price, however I think I can go cheaper, especially since i'd still be forced to buy new foam for it.

Can be used as a stand on two settings.
