So /g/, what's the official consensus on swap/page file for SSDs in 2016? Does it matter? Does indexing matter?
Just got one of pic related after one of the drives in my long-lived RAID 0 array finally died. Any suggestions for optimization. Disabled CSM as that evidently saves a bit of time, installed NVMe driver, disabled defrag. Am I missing anything?

The endurance is so high you will never run in to any issues.

if you actually have to do some special shit with an SSD like that and avoid writing files like the plague, then it's not even superior to a hard drive

What this guy said. The 850 pro can hit upwards of 7 petabytes or something retarded like that. Otherwise you want those types of files on your ssd.

Most SSDs can handle like a PB of writing in total. That's more than enough with page file and whatever enabled.

The page file is never written to unless you run out of memory. I have my page file on a normal HDD not my SSD, but it's mostly just because I don't feel like wasting a gig of the SSDs space.
