Hello /g/,
I am a current student who is about to finish a computer networking program at my local technical college. A problem that I have is that I have no real world experience.
I was thinking about starting ads on craigslist where I help people with their technical problems for free, just so I can gain experience.
Has anyone here done anything like this?
Sorry if this is a bad thread, but this seemed like the best place to ask this.

You will step on a lot of people's toes if you do this, and devalue your job. Never do what you are good at for free. Fuck you pay me mentality

I think after I was confident then I could charge for my services but this would just be like a mobile service where I come to you and diagnose and try to fix your problems. The payment is experience. It is hard finding an internship here so I figure this is the only way I could rack up experience
>implying employers are going to care

Care that I have experience troubleshooting technical problems? I want something else to put on my resume other than school and Mcdonalds

I did a thing where we repaired used PCs from local companies to donate them to schools, it doesn't seem to be effective.
They care more about seeing the name of an employer and similar
