What kind of mouse are you ricking anon?
i fell for the Razer meme and I'm looking for a new mouse, I'm looking into

Any recommendations?

That's a great mouse actually. Just disable the light, there's an option for it in the menu. Stop worrying about memes.

My two mice. One wired, one wireless. Both are fat and nice.
>>
>>55694197
The rubber thumb pad on the left side began losing its stickiness and fell off in less than a month. Also I just don't generally like how it forms to my hand. It's a preference thing. I didn't ask for recommendations to be told to shut the fuck up but to see what other options there are out there

>>55694210
I'm not worried about memes friend, I just got a mouse that started falling apart within a month of use. I am just asking for recommendations :)

It's a wireless gateway mouse I had since 2008. It comes with a USB dongle(much bigger than normal) and is comfy. I just painted it is all. Pressure to click is moderate and feels okay.

Other options are Sica, DA 2013 and Rival 300, but every single one of them have their own issues (30/40ms debounce, double-click, shitty rubber).

>>
>>55694343
you can make a config, make the offline drivers, uninstall synapse shit and install offline drivers, problem is that you can't change that config unless you use synapse, it's permanent with the offline drivers and razer mice are shit quality right now and not worth it.
>>
I have a Deathadder Chroma and I am getting a Rival 300 on Saturday. The Rival 300 fits my hand better by being bigger than the Deathadder Chroma. The slope of the clickers goes all the way down on the Rival 300 instead of dropping off like on the Deathadder Chroma, also, Razer Synapse is so shitty.
>>
>>55695741
i honestly think anybody who buys razer after the synapse thing is genuinely an idiot. if razer were to learn from their mistake and let you use it locally without internet, fine, but have they done that yet?

I love mine too, but I liked the shape of the old MX518/G400 better and it could've been a bit larger for my hands. Too bad they don't make anything G400 shaped anymore. Still, overall I prefer using my 502, despite the 400 still working perfectly. The scroll wheel is great at times and having extra buttons so easily accessible is great in some games.
>>

I went MX518 - G400S - G700S

There is actually a reseller here (BenQ) but their prices are almost the same as amazon, like +3 USD, and they aren't available in their store. Thing is, that shit is really expensive here as I believe they should be around G402 price (they are 2.25x - G402 costs 200BRL / any zowie model is 450BRL). Wish I could afford that much.

This cancerous thing here.

Pros:
+ I got it for free.
+ It works pretty well.
+ Once I adjusted it to the size of my hand it became extremely comfortable.

Cons:
+The way it looks
+Seriously, the way it looks.

I got a Rat 3 and a Madcatz TE mechanical keyboard during a giveaway at a convention I worked, so I basically got paid like $170 worth of hardware on top of what I got ($75/day) for working security there. I used them because they were free. They've been good to me, but god do I hate the way they look.

... Still, comfortable, and even without a receipt they've already replaced missing parts and stuff without hesitation. So, I guess this is a good Madcatz experience. I guess it makes sense since they're basically just Saitek Mouse/Keyboards, and I had a Saitek mouse/keyboard set for years and years and years and years and this one feels very similar. Would I pay for them? Probably not...

This doesn't always work/requires it to be redone after a couple weeks. It's both a firmware issue and a design flaw in the way the mouse was constructed from button to switch.
>>
>>55703324
kek, my 2013 (that I got in 2013) is completely fine too
I got the doubleclick issue on m1 after like 6 months, but I spent 5 minutes fixing it and it's been fine since

also the side grips fall off, but that's my fault I guess? I took them off to clean them and cleaned off the sticky tack too, with the thought of using something else, but never got around to it, so now they just fall off half the time I'm using it
>>
>>55714061
What did you do to fix it? Now mine is doing this weird thing where it will double click if I try to click and hold to drag stuff.
>>
>>55705595
>firmware fix for a hardware problem
I guess it's just preventing clicks registering more than once within like 50ms, but still

>>55713966
it's a flaw in the switch itself and can happen on basically any mouse that uses it (mostly logitech and razer), the metal spring(flat, not coiled) is bent out of shape slightly, making it bounce when you click and causing it to sometimes hit the contact twice

the fix:
1. take the top of the mouse off
2. open the switch housing
3. carefully take the flat metal spring out of the switch
4. gently flatten it under your thumb
5. put it back together and test

If it doesn't fix it, flatten it a bit more, just try not to overdo it. It's also a good time to clean the spring/contacts, though that's usually not the problem.
>>
>>55714139
>2. open the switch housing

Why the fuck did I try this. It took me a fucking hour to get the spring back in. Now it doesn't double click but it also doesn't clicky click so I just have a mushy button with no feedback.
>>
>>55714635
oh, yeah I forgot to mention getting the spring in/out is tricky

i'm not sure what you did to end up with a mushy button w/ no feedback though

are you sure you put it back in correctly? cause mine still clicks just fine
>>
>>55714217
are they any good?
>>
>>55714706
I think the shape is just wonky now after so much handling, because it "works" it just doesn't have the tactile click. Fuck it, I'll probably just solder a new switch in like I did last time. That fixed it for a few months.

mad catz 3 (was on sale, old mouse was clicking on random) Nice mouse, i only use it on highest dpi though
>>
I'm using G900 right now, very very nice for FPS.
Had a g502, also very good, and previously a Razer Naga (when I was in my MMO days).

I'm not a Razer hater, I think their keyboards are very nice, but their mices... They aren't very reliable. Some issues with the sensor, some sort of strange disconnection even though it was a wired mice... Logitech seems to make better product quality overall.
>>
>>55709160
well rats are uglier than mice, so I'd say they did a good job.
>>
Went from a MX 518 to a G502

Why did I fall for such a meme? The G502 is heavy as hell and the braided cable is stiff as hell.

How is the G400s? Is it basically a copy of the MX 518 with a better sensor? I heard the G500s and the G700s are also heavy as hell.

>>
>>55717122
Even without the weights G502 is still a bit heavy compared to Razer stuff and co. The quality is heavy I guess
>>
>>55717858
>Razer stuff
It's easier to be heavier than a piece of shit made out of lower quality plastics than a happy meal toy.

Still rocking a microsoft optical intellimouse. I have big hands, with my wrist resting on the desk my fingertips almost over reach the buttons, and I haven't found any other mouse that was as comfortable. Any suggestions for a big handed person?

to mionix 7000 series users and potential buyers. while overall great mice beware that the 'failure' rate of scroll wheel click is REALLY high ~1 year in.

i ordered this mouse on the 18th and they say that its estimated arrival is in the 25-29 of this month

FreeRat3Anon here.

It's the best mouse I've had since the hacylon days of the MX-518, including with a Razer deathadder and some other various junk in there. But I just hate the way it looks. My home workstation (I'm a designer) looks clean and minimalist, and then I have that mouse and this keyboard on it and they're just such blatant gaymerr shit that it's frustrating.

But they're also comfortable as fuck, so like... I guess I shouldn't care how they look since not many people see my PC anyway.
>>
>>55695279
I have one of those and it fits perfectly in the hands. Great mouse overall
>>
>>55694131
>What kind of mouse are you ricking anon?

g502

Considering an aluminium mousepad.

They gud? I'm getting a gr8 price for a medium sized aluminium mat.

Switched to G600 for more side buttons. Loved the side buttons, missed the G502 scroll wheel. G600's back just bluntly stops high up which makes no sense for a mouse with side buttons because either your hands need to be big enough to struggle with the buttons or you claw it and still can't press them.

Switched back to the G502 after ditching MMORPGs. Side grips did wear down. I would rebuy it but I dislike the cable. In fact the cable is the ONLY thing I dislike about this mouse, if you don't care about cables get it.
>>
>>55707455
The ZA13 is just the right size for me, are they ever going to give the EC line an equivalent series?

I'd love a ZA13-sized EC-2.

Can't you just use something like rubbing alcohol to get rid of the paint? Should be simple.

Could also color the red bit with paint or ink, hell, even get someone with a 3D printer to give a bit to fill that gap, or use some sort of foam/silicone.

Function>aesthetics, always.

So you're saying that an illuminated right-handed mouse released in 2006 is a copy of the ambidextrous Zowie FK which doesn't light up?

Come on, you're not even trying.
>>
Honestly, razer is overpriced but I like their shit better than anything else. If you play any mmos, get a naga. Hell, having a naga is good for anything cause of keybinds. Razer isn't that bad in terms of like what is offered and how much it costs... it's not like it's the alienware of gaming computers.

I have Kinzu V2, its funny I have huge hands but it still feels better than larger mice I have used. Does any one know any mice maybe slightly larger with a nice sensor but similar in shape? I was thinking possibly an FK1
>>
>>55726570
I think the Z11 is a bit bigger than the FK1 which is about the same size/shape as the Z12

Z13 is nicely made imo, just be aware of the fixed DPI steps beforehand

going software free is pretty good though

website says 300 was design for palm/claw but idk if that makes any sense, also sensei raw is an option too i guess but i never see anyone talking about laser sensors so...
also i'm used to high sens. ~1600 dpi

I've bought a ton of mice in the past few months. I used to play CS competitively, so I wanted to find the perfect mouse. My wrist is extremely fucked up and crippled now due to RSI, so I had to quit. I've still bought a few mice after this, not to find the best le flickshoot mouse like before, but to find one that's perfect ergonomic wise.

My last purchase was the G303 and I've been liking it a lot, however I think I'm starting to get a tad bit annoyed at the shape.
