Xubuntu will have some pre-configurations designed to make the XFCE experience easier. Ubuntu + XFCE will have a default but configurable XFCE. Both are acceptable options but if you don't like to tinker #1 is a better option.

if u do this on ubuntu you will get a xubuntu

if u want the xubuntu loading do :
