The whole surveillance thing is really blown out of proportion. The OS is supposed to make money through ad revenue, which is why it collects so much shit by default. Yeah it's bullshit, but you really can just turn it all off in the settings.

It isn't any more likely that W10 is secretly sending all your info to the NSA than W7 is doing the same.

I just finished upgrading my whole company, biggest chance I noticed is a considerably performance gain on older hardware. It's not something I can really benchmark, but just clicking around, opening and closing applications, all feels snappy. We have some pretty ancient optiplex desktops /w 3GB of RAM running later model Core 2 Duos and they fly on 10.

I dualboot Arch and Windows 8.1. I had just Windows 10 until today but the hardware acceleration is broken for my CPU/GPU so I said fuck it. The hardware acceleration works in Windows 8.1 and I use mostly Arch.
