Why doesn't Linux let you run .exe files from any arbitrary directory like Windows?
Why doesn't it use DLL files? DLL files are nice. You just download them and chuck them in system32 and forget about them.
just chuck your binary file into /usr/bin or run it anywhere with ./program

I don't want to run it with ./program. I want the actual files to be somewhere else. I don't want to use a stupid shortcut.

add your prefered directory to the $PATH environment variable
>Why doesn't it use DLL files?
They're called .so instead of .dll
>>55688245
And then you can run executables from that directory?
That's still not as good as being able to put them anywhere and just click on em...
>>55688318
you can still do that without modifying $PATH
I know you're trolling, but how lazy are you?
