So /g/, I decided to take the security-plunge and try to make my Android device as secure as possible.
-Android 6.0 let me block app permissions on everything and disable certain unwanted apps (Google Play Services)
-Installed F-Droid open source app repository
-Installed "Silence" encrypted sms app and convinced friends to also
-Installed Orbot+Orfox for secure proxied web browsing and configured all app traffic through Tor
-switched to ProtonMail encrypted email
-Installed open-source apps for geolocation spoofing and localized navigation (downloaded maps)
-Uninstalled Facebook (and unlinked phone number) and other security-concerning apps
-Encrypted entire device
What did I miss? I looked into app sandboxing through "Boxify", but it's still in development in Germany. I have 0 experience unlocking phones, but I do have experience rooting. Not sure if I necessarily need to do either to secure my device even more. Any input?

Thanks! I would love to, but alternatives don't seem to exist for my Verizon LG G4. Cyanogen doesn't support the Verizon model, CopperheadOS only supports Nexus devices, and anything else I've seen seems dumb (like the FirefoxOS or Ubuntu Mobile). If you know of another alternative, I wouldn't hesitate!

Congratulations on making your life unnecessarily more complicated while not removing what actually matters - stock ROM and Google shit. Stock ROM for g2 literally had adb root backdoor(not exploit, it clearly was intentional), what makes you think g4 is safer? Especially carrier locked models, you're getting hurt fucked by virtually everbody.

Why not just buy a handheld PC that's capable of running Linux? Surely Pandora's mature enough now that it's worth buying, or something else has come along that's better.
