Result: Fingerprints are usernames, not passwords.

Remember: Fifth Amendment seems to apply to passwords/PINs/passphrases, but does not apply to fingerprints.

However, if your phone really is entirely benign, go for it. It is very convenient. If you can't name a threat model you might as well go for it.
