Yes, we know everything is already from China but in here we discuss the no/low-name cheap shit you see on Gearbest, AliExpress, eBay and similar sites.

I'm extending the submission period until Monday evening as there were quite a few last minute ones in the previous thread so if you want to see your shit featured now is your last chance to do so.

If you have high-res pictures of the following chink shit items feel to (you) me:
Kingdian S280 (other chink SSDs that have been in use longer than 2+months are welcome too)
Xiaomi Squares (both versions & more recent aluminium models) & other BT speakers
Quadcopters (sticking with some basic models like H22, H98, Floureon for now)
Xiaomeme Powerbanks (esp. ones that aren't the Pocket, other models and brands too)
Mech keyboards that aren't the Motospeed Inflictor
Still need more earbuds/headphones (that aren't Zircons or Piston 3/Air)

Found it already. FQ777-124.

Fun thing, bit tricky too use. You will crash into everything at start and it seems unflyable but after a while it's really easy. I can easily land on a A4 paper. Can do flips within ~2.5m from the ground if you are skilled.

Haven't tested it outdoors (always windy here) but it's great indoors.

Certainly worth it

You've got to run 4 brushless motors at high speed. At small scale, at that pricepoint, there's no real way to to have a good weight/power ratio with your power pack.
>>

Contributions to the infrographic:
Baofeng UV-5R
+great value starting ham radio ($30)
+can talk to people all over the world using repeaters
+can program it through your PC with an open source program called Chirp
+listening in to police/emergency services/taxis/old people on their walkie talkies
+if a Happening goes down ham radio will be the last thing to go down as most of them are solar or wind powered so good for preppers/people in areas prone to natural disasters
+motivates people to go get a ham radio license and understand technical details of how radio works
-not as good as more expensive gear like Motorola radios
-takes a lot of personal research, experimentation and understanding
-menus aren't intuitive to a beginner
-transmitting is flat out illegal until you get your license (which isn't hard)
-antenna in the box is garbage, you need a Nagoya NA-771 to improve range and signal
>>
>>55615857
Just get some extra batteries

The Baofeng is memed in /csg/, /k/ (/k/ommunications threads), /out/, a ton of places. If you put it into YouTube it is one of the most memed Chinese products for its QUALITY/PRICE ratio. Of course it deserves to be in the infographic.

>>
>>55616694

>>
>>55616503
You'd only be using repeaters if you wish to transmit and talk to other hams miles away. Look up your area's repeater frequencies and program them into channel mode with Chirp. You're looking for the 2m repeaters for ham chatter.
>>
>>55616666

The stock antenna is really really garbage. Pretty much anything is better. I got some random knockoff antenna for $5 on ebay and I was able to get much much better reception.
>>
>>55616666
Put it this way, the antenna in the box is nicknamed the "Rubby Ducky" by the ham community. With a Nagoya some signals that were previously static I could hear voices and chatter. It's really really good and makes the Baofeng viable.
>>
>>55616703
>You'd only be using repeaters if you wish to transmit and talk to other hams miles away.

Repeaters are normally used to bounce your signal off the ionsphere and talk to people miles away, you could listen in but someone might also tune into your frequency and talk to you. There's tons of non-autistic videos and guides on /k/ if you keep a look out for /k/ommunications threads. I'm studying for my license currently so I can't write great guides in /csg/.

Xiaomi Bluetooth Speaker

Pros:
Great sound, very clear. Everything from this speaker sounds really full and it seems to have a lot of depth.
10h battery life is correct. It also doesnt discharge when not in use.
Feels really nice, heavy and worthy.

Cons:
None really, I got it directly from the Xiaomi website via my chinese girlfriend, so it was less than 30 euros. There is nothing better for this price.

Neutral:
My speaker speaks chinese (might be because its directly from Xiaomi).
The bass is not overly strong.

My model is the Baofeng UV-5R+. There no difference between most models of the UV-5R except cosmetics.

The pros and cons from >>55616409 are the same, although I'd add that you can buy an extended battery which extends the battery life from a few hours to a few days-a week. Plus when you first turn on the radio it'll be speaking in Chinese but all you need to do is switch to English in the options.

I paid £18 for mine on Prime Day, I'll note that Amazons prices are almost identical or cheaper to Ali and Gearbest so you can. Typically it goes for around £22-25 depending on the site.

I'd recommend getting the normal UV-5R if you can as it runs cheaper and there is no difference between it and the other 5Rs so you won't get much of an advantage.

>>55617167
Yes, the PMR446mhz range is legal to transmit on. You find a lot of baby monitors and elderly people doing neighbourhood watch on that frequency. Also that's the one most commercial walkie talkies off a shelf automatically assign themselves to so sometimes you hear kids playing commando.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ow1hxClR5J8 Ham Radio: Why Use It?

Good video review that explains it well. Basically if something bad happens your precious $800 mobile phone's network will go down as it relies on electricity. Ham allows planet-wide and local communications where all other forms of communications are dead.

And yes, you can listen to all kinds of frequencies. Look up "[Your area] frequencies", people catalogue them on forums. I can listen to supermarket walkie talkies, museums, concert staff as they roll equipment on stage, taxis, hospitals. Hundreds of things.

Ganzo 3028 Folding Pliers (leatherman-style multitool)

Pros
>sturdy for its price
>very cheap ($11.89 or 10.51€)
>has all your classic multitool tools (flathead screwdriver, file, mini saw)
>comes with a wide assortment of screwdriver bits that you can attach to one of the tools in the multitool (can probably also use other hexagonal screwdriver bits you might already have, I haven't personally tested since I don't own any)
>tools open to the outside, so you don't have to have the pliers out just to pull out the screwdriver

Cons
>probably won't last very long if used as a hammer etc.
>knife doesn't seem that sharp, but its sharp enough to cut you
>toolbits came covered in some sort of grease, so you might want to wipe that out

Overall verdict: Its great for light EDC use (screwing/unscrewing screws, cutting ropes and opening boxes etc.), but I wouldn't recommend it for camping/hiking/SHTF (if anyone wants to try it then be my guest). For under $12 its amazing.

Can you be so sure? If any war happens in your country the first thing the opponent does is cut the electricity and plunge the area into darkness with no communication other than radio available. This happened when Russia invaded Ukraine most recently.

You can't predict the future and just because you live in a nice rich Western city doesn't mean you're safe from attack or war.

There are thousands of times a natural disaster or war has occurred and ham radio volunteers come in to help even in the United States.

http://arstechnica.com/gadgets/2015/04/after-nepal-earthquake-people-turn-to-ham-radio/

http://www.arrl.org/news/amateur-radio-provides-critical-communication-in-colorado-flooding-response

Knowing how to operate one of these radios could save your life.
>>
>>55617501
Oh, forgot a "pro"
>comes with a belt holster for your multitool, the belt holster has a small pocket for the screwdriver bits
>>
>>55617321

Long range reliable communication on a tried and true method.

You can even do packet radio for digital communications https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/AMPRNet

You can talk to people at the international space station if you live in the right spot

http://www.ariss.org/contact-the-iss.html

It's just something that is neat and cool to some folks. The main barrier of entry is getting the license (gotta actually do something) and before the chiniese made good radios spend a bunch of money on equipment.

How can I find fake watches? They never mention the brand name in the title.
>>
>>55619757
It isn't part of China, they're a completely separate country founded by an old Chinese dynasty that were ejected after a war. That's why Taiwan call themselves the Republic of China and mainland China calls themselves the People's Republic of China. Every so often China threatens to bomb the fuck out of Taiwan but they never go through with it because the US floats a big warship between them. China also refuses to deal with any country that officially recognises Taiwan as a real country or has a Taiwanese embassy.

What do I do? Another problem is that I can't connect my phone to USB cause that thing at the bottom doesn't work anymore (I use an external battery charger for keeping the battery working) so I can't just connect it to the phone and install something or stuff..
