16GB ram is not a meme when running more than a few applications at a time. Using linux in a desktop environment is cancer, nothing but trouble and it has no compatibility. Windows 10 is not a botnet, you all are just tin foil hat hipsters. Apple makes top of the line quality products. The build design is amazing and very clean. You just want to believe a shitty thinkpad is og because once again, you want to make your autistic selves stand out. In reality most of you if not all don't even know a programming language but your mommies think you are computer geniuses and now you believe it too. Java is an amazing and powerful language with insane compatibility. GNU is a hoby os.

thanks you too

Why isn't the heatsink covering the entire die?

16GB RAM is not a meme if you're doing scientific simulation or analysis of simulation output.

Linux doesn't even have a desktop. Where you thinking of some specific distro or DE?
Using Ubuntu is great - easier than Windows and less prone to malware.

I'd just like to interject for moment. What you're referring to as GNU/Linux, is in fact, GNU/Linux/DE, or as I've recently taken to calling it, GNU plus Linux plus DE. GNU/Linux is not a desktop unto itself, but rather another free component of a fully functioning GNU/Linux operating system made useful by the GNU corelibs, shell utilities and vital system components comprising a full OS as defined by POSIX.

meh. it's not really fair to refer to 'linux' as a single desktop environment. there's many options and they are very different.
