I think IMO that AMD's headsink is easier than Intel's. Why? Latch. I tried installing a custom Intel cooler and ended up splattering the thermal paste when I tightened it up.

i installed my first BIG BOY heatsink recently (cooler master hyper 212 evo) and good god damn that was a worse pain in the ass to get on correctly than anything else I've ever assembled

the worst installation I have ever made with that cpu heatsink because it is very easily to drop/lose some of the parts. the plastic part that lifts the heatsink fell off because they don't screw in and are just held by putting a screw on top. I manage to drop one because I put all of them at the same time put I drop one because I was putting the top screws on the other ones. I could not find that last one for hours. meanwhile every other heat sink I had all the parts screw in.
