>>
>>55402473
Some HTML/XMl tier shit on her screen...
That's what probably "coding" is.

She can code, but she can't program or develop software.

Show me a girl doing embedded systems, low-level drivers, signal processing or programming a digital PID controller on mcu. Optimizing (related) algorithms, designing algorithms (for example for digital image processing purposes).
Or for that matter writing a renderer, a physics engine, writing an ode solver, etc. - I can provide many more examples of real programming, real development, done by real computer scientists, engineers and software developers.

Making a new calendar app for iphone 141 or calling a REST API is the modern blue-collar work for the new digital age.
With the exception that some actual blue-collar workers have skills and are respectable while modern coders, software "engineers" have zero skills and unfounded arrogance.

(Software engineering is not an engineering field as it utilizes exactly zero engineering perspective, methods and doesn't use physics as a modeling tool. All of these are central to all classical engineering fields and newer ones too. Pleb tier mathematical modeling would be a better name for them, but they don't do that either, because actual workers call themselves rightfully computer scientists and they got actual skills.)

The truth is women like that exist they just don't advertise themselves on fucking everywhere, like subhumans, wanting recognition, because they either naturally earn recognition by being competent or they don't give a flying fuck.

Not really, the key point of "code" is that you're writing on a different level than what the final result is. Even typing a text document in notepad isn't "coding", since the final result you want is the text. But writing C source in notepad is coding because the computer interprets the source to generate a program. And writing a text document in binary would also be coding.
>>
>>55412749
>the key point of "code" is that you're writing on a different level than what the final result is
That's not true, that's fucking nonsense.

Just because it's interpreted doesn't make it a programming language, it just makes it a language

HTML is a markup language. It's not a programming language. CSS is a style sheet language. It adds style metadata to a markup language. It's not a programming language.

How is that relevant? The receipt doesn't instruct the computer to generate food.

>>
>>55416010
Nice argument there. The definition of "code" or "coding" applies to any kind of code. When you're saving shit in a text file on your computer, you're probably doing it in uniCODE. The thing doing the CODING in that case is your text editor.

Writing HTML according to a standard and a specific code is also coding. PROGRAMMING the layout engine of a web browser by CODING the result you want to appear into an .html file also counts. Programming a fucking thermostat is also programming. If your specific definition of "computer programming" excludes markup or interpreted languages, then anything written in Python or Ruby shouldn't be considered programming either, because all you're doing is asking an intepreter to do things for you.

Was that supposed to be random data, or actual text?

Seriously though, I'm not arguing that web developers deserve any kind of respect or that HTML is the same as programming a computer through traditional means (even though it usually leads to embedding something like Javascript into a markup language, which WOULD be more in line with conventional programming), but you also can't argue that calling it programming is wrong. You're programming a web browser instead of a computer, however you're still writing code to do so, which requires minimal, but existing effort. Being able to competently write HTML or use something like Excel is nothing to brag about, but it still puts you above the intelligence level of an absolute moron.
>>
>>55415828
If it's autogenerated, it's still code, but you're not the one doing the coding. Kind of like how paying someone to dig a hole doesn't make you a "shovel operator".

yes, there are a lot of things that go into making a computer game that are not programming and require zero knowledge of programming but are still important to a good final product.
your list of women in game dev does not advance the idea that "girls can code", only that women can serve vital functions in areas like art, music, and writing while men do the different but equally important work of programming the actual game

no, the purpose of HTML is to tell the computer what the structure of a website is. the purpose of CSS is to tell the computer how to display it. In theory, you can make a Rule 110 automaton using just HTML5 and CSS3, but in practice HTML and CSS do not perform any actual computation or algorithms. ECMAScript is a program that runs in a browser and manipulates the DOM. HTML and CSS by themselves do not manipulate the DOM, they are merely a data format to tell your browser how to set up the DOM. PNG and OGG are not programs. Nobody would ever argue that ASCII is a programming language. These are all data formats, that's it.

Because JPEGs are more heavily compressed than other image formats, their information is more volatile and likely to expand at high speed through an unchecked buffer, poorly allocated resource or any other available system space. I'd guess you're probably losing image data through one of these means.

You see, when you load a JPEG into memory, the EXtra colour Information Format (EXIF) header is loaded into RAM in order to prepare the video prebuffer for the incoming high-speed flow of colour information from the uncorked JPEG. If your bus isn't ready for this information, the rapidly decompressing file information can flow through other parts of your system.

Ordinarily this isn't a problem: as a matter of fact, JPEG was designed for this sort of thing. Older computers couldn't handle the explosive power behind the fledgeling image decompression algorithm, so rather than fight it, image experts invented the Jampacked Picture Extraction and Gathering (JPEG) protocol. They cleverly decided to allow the image data to spray wherever it would, knowing that after the extraction phase would send raw data all over the inside of the computer, the gathering phase would locate it all and reassemble it into an image. With the advent of faster computers the delay between spray and collection is so small as to be unnoticeable, while newer and bigger video cards are more capable of withstanding the onslaught of colours.

Still, the primary weakness of this algorithm is the haphazard placement of decompressed data. There's just too much of it to channel through normal means, so any loss of data containment results in corrupted images. In your case, it would appear that you're losing image data through the empty hole where your goddamned shift key should be.
