Jeez man, fumble around in your settings. I can record 90 fps with a 100€ GPU

Why would you not use the dedicated hardware on your GPU for recording? Use shadowplay dude.

BTW fraps uses your CPU to record, and I have no idea what obs is.

Anyway, use shadowplay it has no performance impact whatsoever unless your hard disk is getting rekt or something

cpu intensive by far. Assuming you have a kaveri cpu on am3+, you could upgrade to an 8350/8370 or even a 9590.
In obs, you can choose to record with your cpu or gpu. With a 750ti, it recomment sticking with the cpu rensering. What are you trying to record?

Just record using shadowplay, if you play in windowed fullscreen, in sahdowplay settings click enable desktop capture, and just make the binds for toggle manual recording,

Mostly just CSGO and some Hotline Miami for the most part. Thanks for the help but I think I'm going to look into this shadowplay thing.
