Why does /g/ hate Windows 8.1? I don't see anything wrong with it.
Because to them, installing a third party app for a start menu is the end of the world.
People hate it as they hate windows 8 in general, it's a touchcentric gui that's being mainly used by people who have non-touch desktops/laptops.

because poo in the loo
I love Windows 8.1 senpai
>>55313280
Windows 8.1 is bad in every way.
Forget the tablet mode...it's a bitch to install. Took me 3x long to install vs Windows 10. The OS is basically vista-ized at this point. Microsoft abandoned it.

Nah, it still has longer support than W7.

Same
It's my daily driver now. I'm still on the fence if I should go full botnet with 10.

And vss just fine...
>>55315679
why in gods name would you want to disable composition

>[Citation needed]
Just install it mongoloid, it's missing all those features.

Because the only reason MS crippled this is because their metro applications would not work anymore. Some legacy programs require it also to disable VSync in desktop (for Photoshop for instance)

I'd say pass. The mere fact that they push it so hard puts me off.
Also,
>ads in your startmenu
No fanks.

Using 8.1 for the last year and a half, I dunno about DAZ loader but I haven't had to reactivate KMS once since I installed it.

>No nfs
This. Windows' network share is a fucking joke,
