Is there any upside to Let's Encrypt on a personal server? It seems like a big hassle for nothing.

IMO no

Depends. I think it's always a good idea to encrypt. Unless you want your documents stolen
>>
Not unless you care about people possibly sniffing your traffic. You might not, but at the very least it's a good thing to know how to do.
Plus hey really, free HTTPS on your personal server, neat.
>>
Why not? It's free and only has benefits.

faggot

Free cert, easily renewable by cron.
What else do you need ?

If you want to use HTTPS/2, you'll need SSL certs.
HTTPS/2 are faster than older HTTP(S).

Are you retarded?

Who cares. It's not like I'm hosting a terrorist forum or a CP exchange.
>>
I've got it running on my vps.
I don't have it on my home servers since none of them are open to the Internet except for a tf2 replay server, and if I need to access my servers I just ssh tunnel or vpn in.
>>
>>55306354 On a personal server its perfectly safe to use self signed cert. Otherwise get a proper one.

I'm aware that Imgur.com will stop allowing adult images since 15th of May. I'm taking actions to backup as much data as possible.
