What's the best video converter? I have to convert some .mkv's to be able to play on a ps3 and the top google results from "convert video to ps3" seem like adware or worse.

I was using universal media server, it worked fine one night but shit the bed the next. Even streaming Sopranos at 720x480 it would stutter and lag even when messing with transcoding settings.
