I'll be honest, I know little to nothing about computers,

This is a blue board which means that it's for everybody (Safe For Work content only). If you see any adult content, please report it.

What could a $4000 ibuypower run?
Some examples of high quality games would be nice

Tux racer

Alienware. Make sure you get the warranty. Those machines are so fast they're like hotrods so you'll really need the extra maintenance. But once you get that sucker tuned up and optimized by a professional you'll be churning out gigabytes and heptaflops faster than you can say "Pentium", baby.

Let me give you a tip OP. Plan to spent at least $1k of your budget on monitor and peripherals. Your PC will age quickly. Chances are your monitor, kb, mouse and peripherals will be used for at least 1.5x-2x longer. It's really worth dedicating some money to them.
>>
>go to popular PC building sites
>Look at what people commonly put into high end PCs
>Make sure it all works together
>Buy it

Or just go on reddit and find a PC building sub to find a pcpartpicker list for your budget that someone else made

4k is more than enough to buy absolutely anything anyway so who cares really

That's actually good advice
>>
Don't build a 4000 dollar pc, build a 2000 dollar one and when you need to upgrade years later use the other 2000 for a new build
>>
Jesus, I made that pic like 10 years ago, probably more than that. Pretty weird to see it again.

I'm aware that Imgur.com will stop allowing adult images since 15th of May. I'm taking actions to backup as much data as possible.
