also, get a book. lynda is a for dummies series and almost every one ends with an outro video where the teacher tells you the book they stole everything from.

Programming in C by Stephen Cochan is a good read. I didn't like the way things were introduced in Ritchie's book, but it's worth going back to after you know how to write in c (he's the guy that invented the language)
