Why does /g/ say that Linux is horrible for noobs and you're just wasting your time using it? Not every distro is like Arch or Gentoo.
>Windows 7 user
>see potential botnet concerns in Windows 10
>switch to Linux with my new build
>/g/ tells me I'm making a big mistake
>months pass and Windows 10 is released
>turns out the botnet is real
>more months pass
>I'm still using Linux and haven't run into any serious problems

Now install Avisynth.
Using anything other than Ubuntu or derivatives is horrible for noobs
>>55209007
Noobs shouldnt use anything but ubuntu. Its noob proof. Doesnt allow customization that can brick the UI.
DE's like mate and xfce and kde all allow the user the delete panels, This is bad for noobs who will likely delete them by accident.

>he accidentally deletes the File Manager shortcut
>we think it actually deleted the program
>shit pants
>later, somehow figure out how to get it back
