Yes, we know everything is already from China but in here we discuss the no/low-name cheap shit you see on Gearbest, AliExpress, eBay and similar sites.

Videocameras, Webcams and DSLR's are one of the few things Chinks can't replicate for some reason.

Action cams they got down to a t though, even beating GoPros.

This, this is worrying. I got 11,5 USD from bug testing a program. I felt so wealthy, so greedy, so... good. I'm a consumer whore, I admit it. I felt the need to shop with that money, I felt good, I felt an euphoric sensation. I didn't even think of saving the money up for something better, or to spend it on my friends. I could only think about spending it on myself. I didn't need to know what I spent it on, I just spent it in an instant. It was such a strange, but good feeling. I feel the need to spend more, but I don't have any more. I think that's a good think that I didn't spent it on more shit.
So, that's it. Here's my meltdown. I'm finished.

Unprotected lithium cells are all around you noob. That doesn't make them dangerous. You don't need a USB amp hour meter. Opus makes chargers that can show current. A SkyRC B6 can do it. An unprotected cell is just intended to be charged and used in devices that have protection circuitry built in. Protected cells can be used in either unprotected or protected devices.

for charging a single device, maybe its fine.
for charging multiple devices at once enjoy your low fucking charging rates
nothing like splitting 2.4A (at the best of circumstances) charging 6 devices at once at subpar current levels
>>
>>55144406
If youre powering the chip only then you could go with any 4 AA rechargeables. That'll give you a nice range from 5.4 v to 4.7 v or sth. Thats within specs for atmega iirc. for esp maybe one 38600.

depends how its all configured
if you're using hdmi for audio then it's playing through whatever the fuck audio chip is on your gpu, aka an acceptable but otherwise shit one
if it's through a 3.5mm jack going into the monitor (and having an output) then it's whatever is feeding the monitor's 3.5mm input

>>

Have the chinks made a great value for money laptop yet?

Also, looking for something to play video files on my tv. Can either be from a mircosd or connected to my smartphone somehow, doesn't really matter to me. If it will let me play emulators up to PS1, that's a definate added bonus but not necessary.

I'm gonna be honest, I'm out of the loop when it comes to smartphones and tv stuff. I recently got a redmeme and it's like I'm living in the future. I also toyed with the idea of making a cheapo small computer and learning how to use linux to use as a kind of media center, but I'm sure there are cheaper options around.

Correos de México changed their tracking system like three months ago, now you won't get any tracking info from them at all and some /csg/ anons report losing packages all the time, if they contain normie valuable shit like tablets and phones
So you might get completely fucked, your best bet is going to your local post office with the tracking numbers and asking them for information
If you look into the archives you will find an anon that got fucked 4 times in a row by Correos with both Singapore Post and China Post

they don't, well not really. The official Chromecast app only supports sending video/audio. The receiving end of the Chromecast broadcasting protocol is kept private by google. There are a couple android apps that try to emulate the receiving end, but they aren't very good.

Note that those are both unprotected. And that "protected" has nothing to do with safety. It has to do with the application. Lithium batteries must (with exceptions) ALWAYS be protected, but in some devices the protection is built into the device itself and in some it must be in the batteries.

If you have a dumb flashlight that just puts a current limiting resistor and a COB CREE across the battery then you want protected batteries. If you have something smart that has cutoff circuitry in it, you can use an unprotected battery. The "protection" that exists in either devices or in the batteries themselves is overcharge protection (disconnect when V>4.2+tolerance), undercharge protection (disconnect when V<2.5+tolerance) and current limiting.

Two sharks on the top and the 32GB USB on the bottom.

Overall, not bad. The 64GB shark though, is a pretty good deal. For around $12 that can not be beat for price. The 32GB was quite slower though, definately budget for $6-7. Not bad if you just need media storage.

The USB drive did pretty well for a 2.0, good sequential but lousy on 4K. Not amazing but I wanted another spare drive and it was around $6.

I think the best is probably the tablets - best value is probably a used thinkpad. If you have the time/skill you can find a pretty decent laptop on ebay that is damaged (usually screen) and then just order a replacement screen from china.

The other thing you can do is buy say a x230 with the non ips screen for super cheap, then order the IPS one pretty cheaply.

These user reviews are fucking worthless.
I have a good suspicion that retailers pay aliexpress to remove 'bad' reviews.

Any wallet recommendations?

Wait for Techtablets' review on the X80 Power. It's coming today or tomorrow maybe and we'll see
>>
>>55151876
Yes but not from a chink shop
>>
>>55151056
To be fair. Using a pen or finger leaves the edges fucking brutalized. You need some sort of sharp implement if you want the opening to be smooth.
>>
Is there any way to run Windows 7 on those chink tablets that come with w10? Since windows 7 uses ~300mb ram in idle, it would be great since w10 is a memory hog(2,5 gb on my laptop in idle)
>>
>>55151849
This was on GearBest.
>>
>>55151930
>300mb ram in idle
You running that thing using 1gb ram or something?
>>
>>55151940
Or gearbest, or banggood, it doesn't matter.

Thanks for the heads up.

I'm reading about lots of problems with the Chuwi Pro, but that might just be because it's more popular than the X80 Pro/Power.
>>
>>55151951

My computer at work has 2gb of ram and the Ram usage in idle is 250-300mb

Damn. That is pretty fucking impressive.
I'm on 8gb and my 7 uses roughly 1.5gb, and this is a month old install.

Where can i get a similar knife.
It would be legal to open carry it in my state too...

Interesting. How does that work? Why so low on my pc?
>>
>>55151930
very unlikely for you won't find drivers
>>
>>55151997
Windows uses as much as it deems appropriate. So if you have no RAM, it doesn't try to cache all the things to make your OS experience faster. If you have a shit ton of RAM, why not use some of it to make everything faster?

http://www.aliexpress.com/af/bowie-knife.html?ltype=wholesale&d=y&origin=n&isViewCP=y&catId=0&initiative_id=SB_20160618233910&SearchText=bowie+knife

I would suspect not legal to carry in almost any state. Blade length is usually the factor and they're pretty long. They're called "Bowie Knives". Also it's generally not illegal to own any blade. It can just be illegal to carry them. It's why you can own swords but can't wear one on you at the mall like a leddit fagola and protect your womens with it.

I have no fucking clue how you're going to get it out of the packaging though once it arrives. You'd need a bowie knife.
>>
>>55151997
Well. It usually scales depending on how much RAM you have. So if you have more it will use more, no point in it sitting around unused after all. That's just wasted money.

But 300 for 2gb seems pretty low. You must be pretty great at maintaining your computer.

JJRC has a bunch of 25 to 30 midsize quads too that would make for an excellent step up.

GearBest has the 1280x800 Plus selling for the same as the 1920x1200 Pro, so Plus wouldn't make any sense to buy now.

I would have guessed they were identical aside from the alum' vs. plastic back, but on GB it says the Pro only takes SD up to 32gb, vs. 128gb for the Power. Hmm...

Re: the dirtiest of dirty-cheap chink shit, I've been using a HomTom HT3 for a few days, and can't get over how nice the build is for $50. The cameras are dogshit, and its slow (but usable), but it looks and feels nicer than most +$400 Android phones I've used. The HT3 Pro with better SoC/ram/rom/cameras would actually be really nice, especially if you could get for ~$80.
>>
>>55152433
Try a near cheap as free Windows Phone. Modern SoCs, really good build quality and actually ok cameras for cheap phones. My girlfriends phone was 30$ no contract.
>>
>>55152446
How do you get a $30 no contract phone?!?
>>
>>55152457
I was using a Lumia 520 that I got at Best Buy as a MP3 player for a few months. I think her 640 was 30$ at Best Buy a month or two ago. They're intended as go phones but then you can just put your own SIM in or just get rid of the sim and use it for browsing Wifi and playing music. Looks like right now the Lumia 435 is 28$ at Best Buy. If you just go check out the prepaid/Gophone sections of your local big boxes find the Windows Phones and they are retarded cheap.
>>
>>55152433
http://www.gearbest.com/cell-phones/pp_356136.html

This one?

Looks good for the price.
>>
>>55152446
another 640 memer here. its a ok music player on wp10 (through the insider program because AT&T fucks you in the ass). Pandora works nicely, iheartradio crashes all the time, and groove is groove. If you do use groove, put all your music in /Music on the sdcard or the app thinks its drm locked or something and wont play it.

Also, the high contrast theme reduces what little lag there is.
>>
>>55152539
High Contrast theme on WP looks really sweet too.
>>
>>55152205
just looking for cheap stuff
>>
>>55152534
Yeah that's the one I ordered. But I seem to remember the Pro being on sale then. Should have got that one. (it's $100 now, but I think it was like 30% off or something).
>>
>>55152559
Yeah, its nice when using edge at night because all websites have black backgrounds. It breaks some sites like ebay abd youtube, but its nice for reading.

Just wish i could still have a custom lock screen wallpaper with it though.
>>
>>55152567
Looks fine, I'm a fan of cheap phones with decent battery because I have no use for them except calls, whatsapp/telegram, music player and ocasional web/4chan browsing.

So spending 400-500 bucks on a phone is outright retarded for me.
>>
>>55148975
I recommend to use Belgium Post. Most people take this for small items and the customs don't care because they mostly can't earn much for custom fees. (That's why DHL user often get fucked in the ass by customs.) Also you should say the seller not to write "knife" on it. I think this is the safest method.
>>
>>55152534
Now i want to get this...
http://www.gearbest.com/cell-phones/pp_312369.html

Only usage is music, kik and 4chan. Should i get something else?
>>
>>55152637
Seems good, can throw a shark in it for extra music space. Check the bands for your country if you're going to be using data though
>>
>>55151582
I wouldn't take the risk. You could test on old electronic how destructive they are
>>
>>55152637
Perfectly fine, as I stated on this thread I use a Moto E2 on a daily basis.

Get an SD big enough for your music, get some good earphones and install foobar2000 and you're golden.

Looks to be internally identical to the HT3 Pro. Pick your poison between 5" and 5.5" (resolution is the same). HT3 Pro can be had for $5 more in black or silver, although the flash colours will cost you extra: http://www.gearbest.com/cell-phones/pp_326822.html

HT3 design looks a lot sleeker to my eye: knockoff Nokia as opposed to the HT7s knockoff Samsung.
>>
Go GB points really add up?
