Stuff after 2014? I had some issues with certain games on 1440p when I had my GTX 970.

Depends on your needs.

I have a 780ti which is comparable and I can still get really good fps with near max settings in many games.

But for the most demanding games like Witcher 3 it falls short if you want to max everything out.

Plus the motherboard wouldn't even work with a new case you fucking panzi, Dell has proprietary front headers (USB, Audio, and etc) So a new case wouldn't be able to give me any of that.

Nah 970 is decent for 1080p but not for 1440p on newer games. If I were you I'd wait and see graphic requirements/benchmarks for BF1 and other games you're hoping to play to purchase a new GPU. I'd also wait till Black Friday till there are some discounts on GPUs. Never buy shit full price

It's not good for 1440p, it isn't even made for that. You can probably run another 3 years on 1080p 60fps, with some settings turned down.

Currently I have a 970, and it still plays most game nicely on 1080p, with witcher 3 I can run a mixture of high/ultra with cuckhair turned off, and it gives me 60+ fps outside town and 50+ inside. I'm happy enough.

I have the Zotac too, think I might overclock it but I have no idea what's the limit.
