So I am getting a new power supply in order to use my new gpu. So as a guy who has never changed a power supply before.... how bad can I possibly fudge it up? Anything I should know before diving right into it?
you cant plug it in wrongly
you can forgot some cables, like the 4/8 pin near the cpu, or the 6/8 pin in to gpu
nothing happens if forgot, you just need to connect them

Take a picture so you remember what needs to be plugged in where. Good luck, its probably one of the easier things to do.
Don't forget to turn the switch on ;^)

If it's a modular you most definitely plug some models in wrongly. When I was 15 and stupid I cooked two 3.5 Blacks by plugging the modular sata power into a port for PCIE power. Granted, it's really a PSU design fault and I should have been paying more attention, but it is possible sometimes.

Well, I know for sure this one has 2 pci-e plugs. I believe they are labeled. I think

Power supplies need to be broken in by dunking them in a water bath first. The first time you power it on, it must be wet. As it dries, the capacitors harden, increasing efficiency by about 33%. Otherwise, it's easy.
>how bad can I possibly fudge it up?
well, worst possible case is you quite literally end up killing yourself.
but:

it's as easy as connecting RCA or any other plug.
PC's today are like LEGO. Easy as fuck to put together. The biggest thing you can fuck up is put a CPU in incorrectly but even that is pretty slim unless you really are a retard.

Thank you for your valuable and informative information.

I read about this in the dark web. Dunk it in the sink filled with hot water, turn it on. Saw a video for proof.
