is there a device I can use for portable typing? it sounds like a laptop, but I want something much smaller, compact. small screen okay. it doesn't even need a mouse. I just want to write my articles on the go.

A netbook, a tablet with keyboard, any old computer+lightweight linux, any laptop or chromebook.

The tablet is the cheapest portable solution. Unfortunatelly old laptops have literal shit for battery.
