It should be closer to $900 if you're buying a decent PSU/Case and an SSD
the motherboard would be one of the MSI B150 Pro-VD boards, or the Gaming boards all of them have good power delivery and USB 3.1

A cluster of 30 Raspberry Pis.

you dont need a 1200W platinum psu
you don't need a gaymen motherboard.
you dont need a gaymen case.
or rather, i dont need those things

The gaming board is just a branding and has a different color tard, otherwise it's identical in price/features depending on the country to the Pro-VD boards, they're like $60-70 USD
and a decent 650W Gold rated EVGA GQ is about $70
and an N200 from coolermaster was $40 last I checked
combined that with a $60 240gb SSD and 16gbs of RAM, you wind up near $900 with hte near $300 i7 6700 and $200 with the RX 480
