sup /g/,
looking for a good quality laptop. i don't need a graphics card, but would like something that is decently fast and has a nice battery life
i've seen the specs of zenbooks (like the ASUS Zenbook UX303UB-DH74T) and they look good. is there anything wrong with these laptops?
laptop will be used for "getting things done" for coding and web development. basically a way to not procrastinate. as my desktop has games and firefox (i have 500 tabs open right now, it's a serious problem, another 100 tabs in chrome)

XPS 13 looks good, but dell's website has a lot of reviews of the laptops crashing constantly and people getting lemons

Just found this, seems bretty good

Except for that right shift button

yeah dell's quality control is godawful, you might have to send back one or two before you get a working unit. I got lucky with mine, probably the best build quality I've ever seen in a laptop.

I’m thinking about ordering the cheapest model and this isn’t exactly inspiring me
Should I do it anyway?

OP here, that actually looks pretty good
think i'm going to buy the 128GB version tonight tbqh

actually, given the lack of reviews. think i'll go for the XPS 13, which has several high rated reviews from "tech reviewers" (bloggers)

I just got one, will return it. Its fucking loud all the time for no reason. And it sounds like there is always being something written to a HDD when it only has a ssd... Plus the fans rub and bake buzzing noises when you pick the thing up.

sorry, misread I got the new razer blade not the razer blade stealth. I'm just made about it lol

Gf got a Zenbook last year. Can't remember the exact model. It's thin, light, and the battery life is pretty great. Keyboard has almost no travel distance though, so beware of that. Obviously not great for games, but should be tops for coding and webdev. 4GB DDR3 RAM, 128GB SSD (I assume M.2, but I've never pulled it open to find out), Intel HD something-or-other. It's a few years old, and we got it second-hand for like $750, but it does what she needs it to.
