hey /g/. I assume this is where this goes. If not, point me to the right board. Anyway:
>have LG G4, Sprint
>working fine, absolutely no issues outside of usual slowdown
>mid typing on a text
>phone freezes completely
>can't back out
>can't go to Home
>nothing
>press and hold Power Button to force shut down
>it shuts off
>now it won't come back on
>take battery out, leave it alone for a few
>put battery back in, try power on
>nothing
>switch battery with gf's phone, same model
>her phone still turns on
>plug it in, no lights, nothing
I'm at my wits end. I wasn't doing anything different from what I usually do on my phone. I wasn't attempting to run a thousand apps at once. Any idea what's going on? Or am I just up shit creek?
Would I be able to just plug my SIM card into an older phone to at least have telecommunications for some time?
>Sprint
>no issues
Are you a wizard?
All joking aside, I hope your phone is still under warranty or that you pay for handset insurance because that shit isn't coming back.

>isn't coming back
But why? What would cause a phone to just up and kick the bucket without any warning? Every phone I've ever had has at least shown signs of its death.

Power regulators for the SoC probably shit themselves. Almost certainly a manufacturing defect.

that seems to be what happened. Luckily I can at least just switch the sim to a new phone and start over. If the old phone is bricked, I may as well keep it on the off chance it least comes back to life for a moment to get all my gf's nudes off

Its gone forever. Its a known manufacturer defect you can check google g4 bootloop. The soc heats up so much that parts of the mobo unsolder. Though luck for choosing a shit phone
