Hey /g/
so basically one of my GPU fans started making this weird noise like it was imbalanced or something and I put a toothpick through to prevent it from turning
that obviously solved the problem but my concerns are
-is the toothpick ever going to catch fire? its wood
-is the gpu going to overheat despite having 2 other working fans?
obviously I dont care about warranty else I would have returned the damn thing when it started making the noise
pc is working fine since yesterday
also if someone maybe knows how to software-disable that fan or something that would help too

Fire no, I dont think so. It could get a bit black in the tip that touches the heatsink (?)
It will probably overheat, yes despite the other 2 fans. Obviously depending on the use.

how do i know if it overheats? it should just shut down the pc, right?

I'm really not savvy when it comes to GPU tools, can I maybe set a maximum temperature?

maybe there's a way to fix the fan itself?
