What are some good resources for learning C++, but not from total scratch. What I mean is that the author assumes you have knowledge of basic programming principles and you want to learn about how to use the language, not how to program.

Best way to learn C++ is by learning C

Done that, but I want to learn about classes and vectors and shit.

Stroustrup's book, latest edition.
Take your time, do not hurry, it's a good book, worth your time.

total BS.

You suggested him a book that teaches how to program it just happens it's c++ because Stroustrup's is the father of it.

this book http://www.stroustrup.com/4th.html
NOT this http://stroustrup.com/Programming/

I hope you know what you're doing. Studying C++ just out of curiousity is a waste of time. It's not mainstream anymore, and requires substantial amount of cognitive resources to become proficient.
