I was told it was best to install Windows 10 + GTX970 to one drive and then save everything else to another.

I only did it so I could finally mod Skyrim ffs.

I'm pretty sure that when you change the default directory while installing to somewhere out of the default it makes a link for you anyways.

Isn't the whole point of an SSD so that your programs and OS launch faster?

You can put the HDD above the SSD in drive manager so things will automatically go to the HDD and it will be first on the drop down menu.

Otherwise you just have to set the destination folder to something on your HDD.

You can actually change the Windows registry to set the default install location for Program Files and Program Files(x86).
