But I don't even have spaghetti.
>>
>>52499551
TJ-07 is badass too. Especially considering you can get Murderbox addons for it. The stock cable management and tubing routing options are far superior to the TJ-11 as well because of the 11's stupid dual 180mm fan intakes, which look cool initially, but if you're watercooling only cut down on your access to the case's basement. The only things I don't like about the 07 are the lack of the vertical mobo tray and the unpainted interior.
>>
>>52499568
Instead you just have an ugly build congrats
>>
>>52499675
Alright man.

Actually criticize it, what is it that you don't like about it?
>>
>>52499699
The main issue is how cocky you are about a pretty average build. Nothing special at all. You act like you cable management is so great when in reality you only have one drive so you don't have many cables to deal with in the first place. You didn't even try to color coordinate anything and you are using that shitty PSU. Along with that you have a shitty reference cooler.
>>
>>52496534
Let's see yours then.
>>
>inb4 forgot to completely snap on front panel before photo
>>
>>52499744
>Cocky
Yes
>One drive
There's two, stacked up front
>Color coordination
Yes, but it's an old 1155 build, there's only so much I can do in mITX.
>Shitty PSU
Yeah, no.
>Shitty ref. cooler
Again, no. It's a Cryorig C7 in anticipation of the Dan-Cases A4-SFX.
>>
>>52499652
I'm in the middle of a new build and cable routing continues to be the biggest pain in the ass. Keep having to cut holes in it to route my stuff.

Also, can you buy just the murderbox parts? I'm looking at having rad mounts made because I don't like the general purpose ones, but I'd rather not if I can get away with it.
>>

I did my water build in >>52499498
>>
>>52498938
only in computers

the ice dragon guys are actually focusing on large building cooling

in very large buildings (like server farms and warehouses) they use water chillers that go to intercoolers all over the place to cool (because requiring a refrigeration unit with 500 lbs of freon is very dangerous so they just cool water and transport to the other intercoolers)

the efficiency in one of those chillers changing from water to nano fluid is something insane like 5% (and the efficiency gain increases with load)

so for giant buildings that is massive savings

I know the acrylic hold down brackets on the Raystorm have a tendency to bend a bit, and I know that aluminum brackets aren't available for AMD sockets, but that still looks scary. I guess it's just more visible on the AMD version because of the straight lines.

>>52496412
No personal experience, but a few ideas. I'd try to source at least a motherboard tray and a rear panel from an existing case. If you don't have an old case you can scrap for one, Mountain Mods sells them separately from their full cases.

it is normal 1/2 inch od tubing but it is covered in springs to stop the heat from the water warping the tubes into kinking.
>>
>>52513846
Ignore the other guy, that wasn't me responding. Short answer? It looks cool. As for how it works, the first RAM blocks were made for the original Corsair Dominators, the ones that had removable fins. They were a direct replacement for the stock fins. After those fell out of popularity and were replaced with the less mod-friendly Dominator Platinums, companies that make RAM blocks started making their own heat spreaders that replace the stock heat spreaders of your RAM, and have threads on top with the same spacing as the old Dominators, to allow the blocks to stay in use. My memory is actually old Dominators, but most water cooled memory that you see is using replacement heat spreaders now.

>>52521902
It's parallel flow. It's a very basic idea, common in water cooled builds. I have no idea why so many people have such a hard time wrapping their head around it.

>>52522073
If your water were getting hot enough to warp the tubing, you'd have much bigger problems. You're completely misinterpreting the point of anti-kink coils. They're supposed to press down on the tube from all sides to prevent it from flattening out when making a hard bend. With gentle bends like the ones in your system, they're completely unnecessary.

Im looking at these and I think about all those sad people who actually spend their money on a pc as a hobbyist just to spend it there. /g/ is truly consumer general.

Could just have been on sale. One of the best cases I've owned was a lian-li case I picked up for $40 back in 2011.

Got the 16gb kit and it's still running at the same speed.
Tried the XMP-1600 memory profile in bios and the thing almost exploded.
I think I'll keep it like that since it just works, I'm figuring that even if my mobo supports 1600 OC, it's not going to run 1600 OC or it's going to fail POST again.

I'm liking it so far. Easy to install, very quiet at idle and I only need to ramp it up to barely audible at load to stay at 60C

It even supports LGA775 so I might buy one for this server here

Thanks!

How do you guys keep your rigs so dust free internally? I clean mine out but it quickly becomes full of dust again in a matter of months.

Clean your house, not just your computer.

Less dust and shit floating around in your house means less dust sucked into your computer.

oh god you're that guy.
I have a rev1 with broken pushtabs all around. I'm working on seeing if I can use some from a couple spare stock Intel heatsinks in place of it, but it's becoming apparent that there will be too much pressure applied if I do this. the last option I have is to work out bolts and nyloc nuts so it can be mounted without.

I have an XFX nForce 790i Ultra I'm going to be stickermodding an E5440 on soon, I want to use the Freezer 7 on it and can't until this is resolved.

Another one to look into would be a Zalman CNPS5X as pictured here >>52498103
The Performa is the newer revision. Both are discontinued but are still available in places.
>>
I just noticed that my HTPC's PSU filter never gets that dusty compared to the front air intake filters. The PSU fan filter should be dirtier because it's all the way in the back of a bookcase that never really gets cleaned.
Weird. Is that a sign that my PSU fan isn't working?

W-what guy?

I think nuts and bolts should work just fine as the plastic thingie that they hold doesn't need any special tensioning (I'm assuming it has a similar mounting system as mine)

non-removable LGA775 metal bracket.
it sucks ass.
I've been thinking about heating it up to the point of melting and fabbing up my own LGA115x bracket for it... but the endgame solution is to just use bolts and bend the legs out enough that there's not an extreme amount of tension. it should fit on 115x then, the bolt pattern is very similar.
>>
>>52534048
That's LGA775 only, then? Maybe you could just dremel the holes outwards a bit and install some Intel pushpins, because those look exactly the same

I love it. So cute and a pleasure to work in. My temps are fine too, although this isn't exactly a high-end system.

My only two problems with this specific one:
>one of the velcro cable ties at the back is missing the velcro
>the large front fan has a faint ticking noise when it runs very slowly

Actually, there's a third problem that I just learned of yesterday. Vid related: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=91dl2_olSqU

What do you guys think of aftermarket coolers for graphics card?

Besides sheer space, one of my concerns is sag--does having a backplate reduce sag?
>>
>>52535288
Aftermarket coolers offer more cooling capacity and generally custom PCBs, better power delivery, etc

But bigger coolers also means more weight so often times companies will ship cards with backplates which offer extra rigidity and help with sagging.
>>
>>52535324
I meant purely the cooler itself--I have a Asus GTX 980 Strix that's ironically a noisy little bitch, and unfortunately I'm a bit OCD when it comes to noise.
>>
>>52535427
Set a custom fan profile if you haven't already. And make sure your case has good airflow so temps don't spike
>>
I want to post mine but I've posted it before and I've done little to it since I last posted. I'll post it when I get my drive racks!
