First of all that makes zero sense, secondly If a compiler was compromised wouldn't that effect more distros than just Arch?

>>
>>51401944
just don't update tomorrow

I think weekly updates are what's recommended anyway.
>>
>>51402082
Tomorrow celebrates my 67th week for this Arch installation though. To now update would be harem.
>>
>>51402107
wow I kinda wish I'd been keeping track of how long I had Arch on each machine..

well worst case scenario, shit breaks and an update fixes it not long after
>>
>>51400825
>secondly If a compiler was compromised wouldn't that effect more distros than just Arch?
Arch has newer packages than pretty much any other distro, I imagine it'll only affect Arch because it'll get patched again before any other distros get it
>>
I will update tomorrow for le keks, but on my throw-out laptop.
Also >what is daily delta backup

Has been announced days in advance and nvidia's binary blobs tend to break when you follow upstream anyway.

Only using my Intel GPU at the moment because nvidia Optimus sucks donkey cock.

Meh.
>>
>>51400654
You fell for the Arch meme, now suffer

For what it's worth, if you work on any larger software project then Arch is actually a nice distro because it follows upstream very closely. A sizeable amount of Linux kernel devs use it, for example.

Thanks f.a.m
>>
>>51403178
The binary nvidia drivers suck shit. They gave me so many fucking problems, and all of them were instantly solved by installing nouveau.

When is nouveau going to overtake the native nvidia driver? Valve threw lots of money at it, didn't they?

still lacks support for many chipsets (like mine) and Mesa generally sucks shit in terms of performance.

>Valve threw lots of money at it, didn't they?
Not that I'd know of, but nvidia is paying somebody to work on it for Tegra devices.

But Arch doesn't touch config files, this doesn't make sense.
