Arch has newer packages than pretty much any other distro, I imagine it'll only affect Arch because it'll get patched again before any other distros get it

For what it's worth, if you work on any larger software project then Arch is actually a nice distro because it follows upstream very closely. A sizeable amount of Linux kernel devs use it, for example.
