WHY DOES MY BENCH KEEP STALLING AT 85 KG
I JUST WANT TO BENCH 2PL8S REEEEEE
>>42881601
Just go to 90kg
Don't do 85kg anymore if you keep stalling
You have to trick the muscles, try doing something different
use dumbells or work on your form, and eat more

this
I didn't even bother working up to 2 pl8s, I figured, gonna achieve any way so why waste time? Sure, I choked out a couple a times and have breathing problems but fuck it, I can now safely take the weight off the rack without cracking a rib or 2

>Decide to go above 85kg for 5x5
>87.5kg
>complete 3 sets no problem
>4th set, last rep
>Lose all strenth in arms
>Almost die from dropping the weight
>Luckily rack it really close to my face
>Guy runs over asking if I need a spot
maybe next time

If he stalls at 5 doing 85 kg, then he can at least do 3 at 90kg
Work on going from 3 to 5 at that weight
worked everytime for me, stalled at 80 and 90, now I do 110 x 5. It's not a huge jump in weight, you can manage faggot.

I actually have done 90kg a few times. I got 5 reps once but usually get around 3 or 4.
With 85kg I'm talking about 3x5. Can never seem to do 87.5 for 3x5

eat more

stop with this meme

Try pic related
Also, you might try doing negatives with 2pls with a spotter

Meant to reply to OP. Also you should do the reverse of what the pic says. So warm up on squats and then run as quickly as possible to the bench and max yourself out on some heavy weights.
