Help a robot out. What do I need to do to become a "normie". I'm tired of wallowing in self pity on /r9k/
1. Get a nice haircut
2. Dress well.
3. Chat up everyone you see.
Getting /fit/ won't make you a normie but it might boost your self confidence so go ahead and check out the sticky.
A modicum of empathy. In order to interact with others, there must be common ground. For normal humans, that common ground is based in empathy.
Oh hi fellow robot, I'm currently at the "I used to lift" stage. Gonna rise like a phoenix and reclaim what once was mine.
The secret is that this place is not that different from /r9k/. People just drain their sorrows in lifting.

How does someone with very low empathy ,but isn't a psychopath, gain empathy? Half-normie btw but can't maintain a relationship in a close and prolonged period

>can't maintain a relationship in a close and prolonged period
Oneitises and lifelong love is the biggest bluepill in existence. We're really not built for that. It's not meant to work past procreation.

> /fit/ is normie
Nah mate we're even more fucked
We don't wallow in self pity but instead participate in an activity generally for health in order to be in relationships, only to learn helplessness of appearance in both body and face will not cure lack of social skills. Honestly just practice talking to people. A weird but definitely effective place would be cafes and coffee shops
>self pity is narcissism disguised as depth, which is why everyone resents your 'woe is me' bullshit
Take an interest in other people, genuinely care about their lives and they will begin to care about yours too.
You can do it!

I mean with any kind of relationship, I can only maintain interest in another's differences for a very short time
>>42878100
You can't become a normie. You can only pretend that you're a normie, but deep down you'll always be disgusted by them
>>42878100
literally just get off /r9k/ or 4chan in general if youre mentally weak (hint: you are)
I know you wont believe me but spending hours on a board filled with losers whining about their lives is not good for your mental health.
Go do real things and get off the internet, dont look back
>>42878100
Stop fucking going on /r9k/ for starters...

>3. Chat up everyone you see.
how? i can't think of the words
>go to party
>people talking and laughing
>i can't think of anything to say
>don't think anything is particularly funny
>too self-conscious to say anything
>>42878100
Don't become a normie that's going too far. Fitness doesn't help you much in the area of mental gains either. You should start lifting anyways though it builds discipline, you'll need that
a normie is a social person
pretty much just try talking to people and maybe join some group activity
other things you should improve to make you feel better
>eat healthy
>sleep regularly
>exercise
>pay attention to what you wear
>get a haircut, shave
>watch less porn
>watch less anime
>play less games
>spend less time on 4chan
>don't be a NEET

practice
read up some guides on small talk
know something about normie topics
what actually at least somewhat worked for me:
>stop thinking in absolutes. you are not always not shy and nobody is always confident
>find out what you actually like and try to get a job in that area.
>start meditating: it's really hard to it every day but that's what it's all about
>go for a run: it literally does not matter how shitty you feel a 30-min WILL make you feel better
>start reading: start with heller or salinger or idk. it will make you more empathetic and is actually fun at the same time

>>42878143
you can't, you can only pretend
