What's the difference between Olympic weights and standard weights?
I always see olympic weights in stores and the gyms I've been to all have Olympic weights, is there a reason? Is one better than the other?

Do you mean like the brand? There is no (significant) difference, weight is weight. One might be in KG, the other in lbs so you have slight differences.
Or do you mean bumper plates?

No I don't mean bumper weights.
The only difference I see is the weights are 50 pounds instead of 45 pounds.

>Is one better than the other?
Yes. Olympic weights weigh more than standard e.i. it says 45lbs but the Olympic version actually weighs 50lbs while the standards weighs 42.5

What??
Are you memeing me?
Why would it say 45 pounds but really be 50 or 42 pounds?

yeah some times my weights tell me lies so i try to catch they for choke but run fast and some times they dont moves

No it's true, normal weights (especially older ones which are what you usually find) vary a lot. In my friends gym we weighed some plates, the 20kg where about 22kg, while the 15kg where only 14kg and stuff like that.
I like olympic plates because they are color coded.

Nope, I'm not. Its kinda weird but it is what it is. If I were you I would get the Olympic since you get more weight for the buck, but that's just me.
