Does anyone have any advice for swimming in cold water?
I just moved to an apartment in Tennessee with a pool that's open year-round, but we've had unseasonably cold weather due to the Hurricane and when I got in the pool today I could only last five minutes before bailing out because the water was like ice. We've had signs of an early Fall here, but I want to get as much use out of the pool as I can before the weather dips into the 50s consistently.
Is there any equipment I should look for, or should I just suck it up and be a man?

I'd say be a man but I became quite sensitive as I got used to divesuits
Otherwise, do some dryland exercises beforehand to warm up, increase speed while reducing distances. And watch out for your ears, cold waters can cause sharp pain especially with a swim cap on

You should be acclimatising well before 5 minutes if your doing lengths. If you're not then there must be something wrong with you. Go the doctor
